Many Blister Line Operators have told us that, regardless of the type of feeding device used, Tablets/Capsules/Caplets wouldn't all lie down into the blister pocket on a discontinuous blister line, causing seal failures and blister rejects. Rotary and Static Brushes do not solve the problem.
To resolve the problem, Electro-mec designed the Orbital Brush, which has a unique wiping motion that brushes every tablet securely into its pocket, at slow speed, regardless of the tablet orientation. During the feeding cycle of the blister machine (web is stationary), the Brush Pad is lowered towards the web to a position where it just touches protruding tablets, and is simultaneously swept through 360 degrees whilst keeping the pad parallel to the web. The direction of the pad is then reversed, and at the end of its return cycle the pad is lifted vertically to its starting position.
