NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR APPOINTED

Avid Holdings plc, the suppliers of specialist child resistant packaging solutions for blister pack drugs, is pleased to announce the appointment of David Whitaker (aged 41) as Managing Director director of Electromec (Reading) Ltd with immediate effect.

Electro-mec (Reading) Ltd is a Group company, acquired by Avid Holdings plc in March 2007, and specialises in the design and manufacture of bespoke pill feeding sytems for blister packaged drugs.

David was formerly operations director of Business Direct Group plc.

Avid Holdings Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Bobbett said today –

“David had been appointed by the Board of Avid Holdings plc to ensure the smooth implementation of our short and medium-term goals in the recently acquired Electro-mec (Reading) Ltd. David brings with him a proven track record of achieving growth within a fixed timetable.”
